On becoming less wrong…

As a kid, I was a visual artist. I have talent for drawing, so that’s what I did.

As a teen, I acquired a taste for performing, and was an actor for a long time. Which led me to standup. Which led to solo shows. Which led to producing and performing live lit and storytelling.

I realized that it was expression that drove me - that visual and performing arts, satisfying as these can be - what consumes me is the capacity for language to embody and advance ideas. I realized that all the means of expression I have tried - in image and performance - led me to my truest and most necessary means of expression, which is the written word.
